Hello everyone. ![]() Are you all excited to hold your first PTD auction? I am sure you all are. But before you go and make an auction topic or place a bid, there are certain rules or guidelines which must be followed. Rules for Auctioneers When you are starting an auction, make sure that it has following information present in them. This allows people to know exactly on what they are bidding and it prevents misunderstandings. This applies for people conducting the auctions only. 1) Information about the pokemon General information about the pokemon your are auctioning. Its level, whether its a shiny, shadow or Regular. Maybe even the moves. You should also specify if it has the 'hacked version' tag to it. 2) Location of the Pokemon The game in which the pokemon is present. PTD1 or PTD2. 3) Starting Bid You cant start an auction without a starting bid. Can you? 4) Minimum Bid Raise Amount You should mention the minimum amount by which the next bid should increase. 5) Duration of the Auction How long will your auction last? A day or two? Maybe a week? There should a specific end date for your auction. The maximum duration of an auction is 1 week. Any auctions with end date more than a week will be considered invalid. You CANNOT increase the duration of an auction once you have specified some time. You also cannot freeze or pause an auction. 6) Auto-win Amount (OPTIONAL) This is optional. But it helps people who really want that pokemon buy it instantly. 7) Auction End Once the auction has ended and the transfer of Poke Dollars and pokemon is completed, make a post stating that the auction is completed. This will help the moderators archive old and complete auctions. Rules for Bidders There are seperate rules for a people bidding in an auction. If you are bidding in a auction, you have to keep somethings in mind. 1) Bid only if you have the required dollars. DO NOT bid on a something unless you have the required amount of poke dollars. 2) You cannot remove your bids. Once you place your bids, you CANNOT change them unless the auctioneer has agreed or he has allowed you to change your bid. Thats all, everyone! If you have any doubts, feel free to ask a moderator for futher clarification. Thank you! ![]() Sonic Blader

We're making some important revisions to the auction rules that everyone is expected to follow: 1. All auctions are final and cannot be undone. Once you click "Post", you are expected to give out the Pokemon to whoever gives the highest bids. You would have to have a very, VERY good reason to refuse to give the Pokemon. 2. PTD auctions by the same user should be kept in one thread. We shouldn't see several Pokemon spread out among multiple threads. Failure to comply with this from now on will result in a verbal warning, then a warning increase. Also, this is less of a rule, and more of an etiquette thing, but keep your starting bids low. If you start an auction for too much, you may not end up being very successful. Cheers. The Starf is a Lie
