I've attempted to make a userbar, but I'm stuck with a dilemma.
Scanlines or no?

Which one do you think looks best? Or you can suggest an alternate opacity.

Thanks

On userbars require scanbars or else they look empty in the space in between it also adds some sort of directional pattern that adds to the userbar so I suggest having scanlines.

In my opinion 40% looks better, but I usually just use a lightish gray and set it to ovverlay so it can match any background color.

Agreed with Muncho, if you use the overlay method to make it the same colour, but a bit darker it would look better, because as Unsharped said it fills up empty space, but you don't want contrasting colors to take away attention from the picture itself so grey overlay might be better.

I have been using overlay with black scanlines. I'll remake a light gray one and post some results! Thanks guys
