I was checking my trades, and someone offered a Shiny Serperior on my Shadow Budew. I normally wouldn't go for it, but this Serperior was rather special - it had 4 Not in System moves. Curious as I was, I accepted it. ![]() I want your opinion - is this a hack or a glitch? Strictly speaking, most hacks arises from glitches. By hacking, I mean the intention to exploit the game to produce things by invalid means; by glitches, I mean things that Sam unintentionally/intentionally programmed wrongly that causes abnormal things to happen in games. I'm no fan of hacking but I do to some extent collect glitches. I can't judge myself so what do you think? |

Thing is, for a while Genesects had Not in System moves because Techno Blast wasn't correctly programmed. Could it be the same here? |

I think every move of Serperior is in the game so this 1 must be hacked. |

I'd guess not in system moves would be a bug. If it was a hack, they would have hacked existing moves Serperior couldn't obtain. I have a Rattata with Geodude moves from an old bug so even if Serperior was given moves it couldn't obtain legitimately, they will still show up. The only not in system moves I can think of might be boss moves? They cant be sketched or transformed so I dont know what the point of someone hacking to get them would be. Either that or the game just stuffed up in naming the moves? |

I decided to check it out in game (Like I should have done ages ago) ThatGuyHim was right, at least I think so. ![]() Pretty sure those are the boss moves. I'm now thinking maybe it was a combination of Sketch and an in-game glitch that gave Serperior these moves. Anyway, does this change your view on whether this was hacked? (Take a look at the Ditto next to it - it's legitimate. I was wondering if similar something happened here) |

I didn't think of Ditto. I checked on my bug run-through that boss moves cant be sketched, so that's ruled out unless theres a specific exploit someone's found. But I just tried quickly and I got a Ditto to transform into an Ampharos with Blinding Flash so it could have something to do with Transform. But then the question is how to make the Transform permanent or get multiple moves or transfer the moves across to another pokemon? Seems more to me like an hack the more I think about it, either that or a bug someone has found and intentionally exploited in order to give the Serperior make all 4 moves. |

I don't know what animation these boss-moves have but it says : Sceptile move so maybe its something what only Sceptile can learn or is in its move pool ? |
