(Copy+Pasted from the fan forum) So many of you want to battle with your pokemon in PTD. Well...look no further! This idea will let you battle with them...kind of. So you guys know Pokemon Online/PO right? (If you don't: http://pokemon-online.eu/ ) Well we can battle using our PTD Teams! There would be 2 options: (Other) 1. Where you can use level 100's and choose any moves you want. (Standard) 2. You use only level 40's and only level up moves that the pokemon can learn up to level 40 and you can only use tm moves that are in PTD. You may also not use items or egg moves. Also no EV's or natures. Don't touch IV's. Abilities are okay. So this topic will be where we can discuss this and find battles. I'll set up a thing where it shows the ranking of the people. (Win/lose) So if you win a PTD Pokemon Online battle tell me and I'll record it. (Also say who you beat) Maybe we can establish tier or something haha idk. Let's see how this goes. (Also I will only count the wins and loses for option number 2 standard) (Also thanks to averagejohn for the random idea on the chat.) Okay guys, I just battled averagejohn a few times. I found out a few things:Starmie- This pokemon is so annoying. Between it's attacks Bubble Beam, Thunderbolt and Psychic it's really hard to switch something in. -.- Plus it can also spin stealth rocks and toxic spikes that might be threatening to your team and it can easily recover it's health. Sun- Permanent sun is pretty useful by most notably making Venasaur and Charzaird into killers. Charzaird can destroy things with it's sun boosted solar power boosted flamethrowers while Venasaur can go mixed and easily be able to kill most pokemon other then other Charzairds and flying types. (It has earthquake for fire types and chlyrophyl makes it faster) Charzaird's best counter is Golem who can easily dispose of it with Stone Edge and only has to fear taking 40 damage from dragon rage. Also if Golem gets stealth rocks up Charzaird takes 50% damage per switch in which is deadly. Especially with the fact solar power makes Charzaird lose it's health pretty quickly. Golem- Ah Golem, very good in PTD, pretty good in here. It's only 1 of the 2 pokemon that can set up stealth rock and has a great attacking stat making it very threatening to pokemon that aren't water or grass types. Even water or grass types have to be aware of it if it has full health because sturdy will allow him to survive the hit and blow up on them. It pretty much has a guranteed chance of setting up stealth rocks too. Luckilly there are a few rapid spinners such as Starmie and Blastoise who can spin those rocks away. -5 Pokemon have a speed stat of 97. This is very important for when you're choosing sweepers as something lower then 97 will probably not do so well unless it serves as a tank or a wall. The 5 pokemon with 97 speed are: Charzaird, Mew, Tentacruel, Ninetails and Raichu. Mew- Mew is very annoying. Ironically it only has about 5 or 6 usable moves so it's versatility isn't that great but it's very hard to beat since it's the best wall in the metagame and also has decent attacking stats. The best way to defeat a Mew is...like something with a really high base attack/special attack and use a really powerful stab move on them and try to 4HKO or 3HKO when they use rest. Raticate is also a pretty good check as long as you send it in Mew when it just fell asleep. It just has to use Swords Dance then Crunch twice and Mew is defeated. (And if it is afraid of Mew waking up before the final crunch it can just use Sucker Punch so Mew doesn't hit it.) (If you want to fight me pm me on here, please don't use the ability drought or Mew unless I specify you can.) Edited by Professor Smeargle, Jul 20 2011, 01:27 AM.

I moved it. I guess it belongs in here. It is a type of challenge for PO. This looks interesting. It would be cool if we used what our teams in PTD are (No lying) meaning we can pick from all of the pokemon in our account. That would be a somewhat simulation of multiplayer. It would at least compare how good teams are. |

So far the fan forum isn't really that interested in this idea, Lol. Thanks guys I'm glad you like it. I just did some testing with my friend averagejohn on the chat and wow Clefable is really annoying to take down if you let it set up a few Cosmic Powers and you have Toxic Spikes support. So would anyone like to battle? :P If you do pm me so we can go on the chat and arrange it or something. For the most part I don't really use my PTD team but some of the pokemon are similar. Just remember that some of the strategies from PTD don't work that well on PO. (Such as just having a bunch of stupidly strong pokemon with a really high base attack and/or special attack and their other stats aren't that amazing) Edited by Professor Smeargle, Jul 20 2011, 01:30 AM.
