Spread you wings and take flight.

You should show their natures. I can help you with your team once you do that.

If you're using excadrill, sand ruch would be better with a hippowdon or tyranitar instead of steelix. It would be better not to use excadrill (every other pokemon would be damaged by sandstorm) and replace it with something like scizor (bullet punch, swords dance, u-turn, superpower) and switch it in on a grass type move (ideally), or something that does neutral damage. |

Thread unlocked. The thread isn't dead until the last post before the necro-posting post was a month before. Also, Jazz, please do not mini-mod. Use the report feature to report rule breaking posts. About the team, there are a lot of things that need improvement. Excadrill: Don't run this unless you have auto-sand support. It's not nearly as good without auto-sand support from T-tar or Hippowdon. Also, Swords Dance > Sandstorm, Earthquake > Drill Run and Frustration > Metal Claw. Infernape: You should run mixed infernape with Overheat > Iron Tail and Thunder Punch/Hidden Power Electric over Iron Tail. Steelix: A lot of improvement is needed here. For one steelix is pretty bad and I'd rather use Foretress, Ferrothorn, Skarmory or another steel type. Steelix should have Earthquake / Stealth Rock / Dragon Tail / Stone Edge. Conkeldurr: Looks pretty good here. Replace Reversal with Mach Punch and Hammer arm should be replaced with Drain Punch for healing. Gallade: No point in running Gallade with Conkeldurr as they do the same jobs. Either way Heal Pulse doesn't work in singles. It should be running Bulk Up / Drain Punch / Shadow Sneak / Taunt/Ice Punch. Torkal: Just awful. Don't use this pokemon in OU, maybe in NU, but defenitly not that set. (There is no point in running 4 fire type attacks on one pokemon and Torkal is so slow, weak and fairly frail that it's pretty bad.) Also, next time, please include the EV's and Natures of your pokemon and say what tier this team is for. (It would be Wifi OU from the pokemon that are in- but this is useful information for people who don't know this stuff.) Edited by Professor Smeargle, Sep 25 2011, 03:58 AM.

Actually Prof Smeargle, a Special Sweeping set would also be good on infernape, because he doesn't have any good special sweepers. Teach it Nasty plot as a chimchar, then give it overheat/fire blast, vacuum wave, and either Hidden Power electric or grass knot. equip with a life orb or leftovers. Take out Toarkoal. Replace with a specially defensive Wish Vaporeon. Enough said. Take out Steelix. Scoliopede is a decent and unexpected hazard pokemon, and also makes a good physical sweeper despite being RU |

The vaporeon can pass wish to any of your pokemon, healing them for half of Vaporeon's health, which, if maxed, is higher than most, and will provide most of your pokemon with at least half of their health. |
