Well after a interesting arguement in chat, arcade vs gpxplus i find no reason for time management games like gpx and others, to be fun and worthwhile to play for days-weeks-months-years... if the goal is to just do everything anyone can do.. which is why the goal is filled with so much things, so you are tricked into playing for a long time and then what? Afterall, after you finished that game completely, afterall that time wasted.. 1 week ago, some-one already finished it all.. So You Are Just Like Everyone Else. Nothing Special. there is no real challenge to it.. all yah need to do is just play for an insanely long time to beat it. Some of the time games have "Leaderboards" which is what everyone wants to be the best and #1 on..for all games But these so called "Leaderboards" are just another trick so you will keep playing. There is no real point you should be on the leaderboard.. Just means you PLAYED FOR AN INSANELY LONG TIME ,so question.. why do you try to do something everyone has already done? do you find it fun that you are copying some-one else? its an endless cycle, once you finish the game and QUIT of boredom. 2 more people start their journey to do everything you just did. - Other Games as in Online Games which take skill to be on #1 on the leaderboard, for example... Call Of Duty-Black Ops. it doesnt just take time, it takes skill and experience. You can Brag about this. You deserve to be able to brag about this. Not Everyone has done this. which is why its a better game to spend so much time on, agreed? of course. anyways.. i want you to help me understand why people spend so much wasted time on Time Management Games. its very interesting to me and i find it as something i may be able to capitalize on later on as a side project. ;D i don't just want small comments. Im serious about this. if you are just gonna post something obvious GTFO! |

I guess the reason time management games are so popular is the fact that, most of them, are highly entertaining and give a personal sense of achievement. It doesn't bother me if the world's population has done it before me, if something is addicting and good fun, I'll play it. No matter how much spare time it absorbs from me, I don't need to be the first person to do it, I'd rather enjoy myself and be the last person. Likewise with Pokemon Tower Defense - everyone wants shinys. Why? Is it because they have higher stats and improve the way you play? No. It's because they want that feeling of collecting them all - nothing missing. That little sparkle you get from them being in your box. That takes time; LUCK - not skill. Hope that helps

ume, there are leaderboards on gpxplus. you just don't know where to look. but i know my overall stat is 458 also, no one cares about the arcade you do realize everything you say against gpxplus can be applied to the arcade as well? additionally, most time managment games don't require skills that no one really cares about |

Though saying that, I do prefer other games > time management. Just thought I'd point that out. |

im not talking about only gpx anymore.it was just an example, this is a separate discussion read everything next time before you post here,or just go back to clicking. and additionally, no-one even cares about all the stuff you got from playing time management games, samething. and don't bring up that 50,000 fans thing, there is 100,000 fans playing other games and dgaf about time games. ~ anyways so Gforce i guess i can see that. i myself don't really get a rush from these kind of achievements, then again that can just be me or even a % of the gamers very interesting indeed... thank you ^^ |

Yeah, hope it makes sense. If you don't enjoy it though, no point in playing them, and you shouldn't let anyone tell you otherwise. You play what you enjoy That's the best thing about the gaming industry, SO MUCH CHOICE!
