The Battle Simulator

Welcome a whole new way of gaining experience and levelling up! A lot more interesting than just feeding it a candy right? This also makes Rare Candies a very valuable prize for future events, since you now need to manually battle (simulated) wild Pokemon to hit a new level. Now, let's firstly talk about the simulator and how it works:

You are able to battle with 3 Pokemon at a time, twice per day (max of 6 pokemon) and you'll be able to choose the Pokemon to battle with. You must make sure the 3 Pokemon you use are in the same level range, otherwise you'll need to train them individually. For example, 1-10 means your Pokemon must be level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 or 10.

You will then firstly play a quick game of Rock, Paper Scissors (kind of). Basically, all the rolls you see, they are your attack vs the enemy attack. You can't change these so just leave them how the are. It's quite simply really, the highest roll wins, like so:

Example Battle

In the event of a draw; it'll count as a lose for you. IE, if you roll 2 and the enemy rolls 2, this counts as a point for the enemy, and if you are unsuccessful, the battle will end and you will gain no levels.

If you are successful, you'll get to roll for a level up. It's a very simple table to follow. You just take the "Experience Roll" and compare it the to the table below: (Levels Gained is the levels you'll gain if you roll the number required shown in the table. The top of the table shows the level category you will choose in the battle simulator, and below shows the dice roll required to gain the necessary amount of levels. Of course, it's hard to earn more levels, thus a more successful roll is needed).

Experience Roll
Levels GainedLv 91-100Lv 81-90Lv 71-80Lv 61-70Lv 51-60Lv 41-50Lv 31-40Lv 21-30Lv 11-20Lv 1-10
5 Levels100+97+94+90+87+84+82+78+74+70+
4 Levels95+91+85+78+78+72+69+66+60+58+
3 Levels92+89+81+73+69+65+61+57+54+50+
2 Levels90+86+75+70+64+60+52+48+43+39+
1 Level80+70+60+50+40+30+25+20+15+10+

Phew! That's quite the table huh? Well, it's really quite simple. Let's talk it over.

"Levels Gained", goes from top to bottom, and will show the levels you can earn. A maximum of 5 can be gained, with a minimum of 1.

"91-100" etc, goes from left to right and is the level category your Pokemon should come under. Please make sure this is correct or you'll forfeit your simulation. It's more difficult to level up the higher the category (hence why the rolls get higher and higher).

"100+" goes from top to bottom for each category. This is the roll required to gain the "levels gained", IE 5,4,3,2,1. If you were to be level 91, and rolled a 100, you'd gain 5 levels. If you rolled a 99 however, you'd go to the lower category which is 97+ (for level 91-100), and you'd only gain 4 levels. Make sense?

Here is another example. You won the battle simulation and you rolled a 50 in your experience roll. You're level 31-40. How many levels have you gained?

Answer

If you fail to match any rolls in the table, you simply gain no levels. IE, if you are level 1-10 and roll a 5, you'll be unsuccessful.

I understand this will be a complicated procedure the first few times you use it, however, we're here to help. If you have any questions or concerns, don't be afraid to ask.

Well, I think you're ready! Try out the form here: http://sdcentral.co.uk/pages/experience/

Form Example

Character Name: Your Character Name.

Pokemon #1, #2, #3 in battle: The pokemon you wish to train in one go. Remember, they must be of the same level category (1-10 etc) and they will all get the same result. So if you fail today's simulation, they will ALL be unsuccessful or successful, depending on the rolls.

Level Category: The level category of your Pokemon. Must be correct.

Rolls: You cannot change these, so just submit the form and we're done!

Explained Procedure

1) You must succeed at the battle rolls. IE, win the battle simulation like rock, paper, scissors.

2) You must get a high enough roll for your level category.

3) Rejoice or cry as you gain levels! (or none... in which case, cry some more D:)

Thanks! And may luck be with you.
