I don't really know, it actually is correctly proportioned and whatnot. It is possible that it was actually rendered on a sphere in a 3d modeling program then the gif was created using that. It is on each side of the sphere, the same way that most textures automatically format to. There might be some options to do something like that in photoshop/gimp but I haven't really tried it before, so I can't help you. (though now that I think about it, photoshop is capable of handling 3d objects, if a 3d sphere was created in photoshop and textured with that victini picture that could have easily been animated in photoshop, but I digress.....) |

That is possible, but I am not sure how to actually get the correct distortion, though it is probably possible with photoshop/gimp. |

Harry: it's not just a regular gif. I actually tried it as a regular gif and it doesn't look as good as the victini one:

That's because you didn't distort it at all. |

You can make something similar to this in Photoshop. Muncho... the only thing your missing is to change up the proportion of the image when it hits the sides, to give it that 'rounded' feel, like it's actually a ball spinning. Edited by Ladyvamptress, May 26 2012, 06:04 PM.
