No Rudolph. It would cause LAG on slower computers. Also, how many of these things have been implemented? |

I'm a newer member here, and I've noticed that it's kind-of difficult to find forums when you're newer. my suggestion would be to make ti a little easier to navigate for new members. |

What makes navigating the forums difficult? What would have made navigating the forums easier for you when you were first looking through them? |

I think this is going to return when the RPG is up. Blaze Clan - Can choose Fire Type Gifs. Hydro Clan - Can choose Water Type Gifs. Petal Clan - Can choose Grass Type Gifs. At least, that's the way I understood it. |

^ Correct. Gifs will be in your face again as soon as I can get time to implement it. The longest part is waiting for everyone to decide on what they would like

I like that... Perhaps a reward system within the Team ranking system. Or just keep it like the badge icons and ranks, except on a larger scale and with like the Elite Four, Champion, and Battle Frontier badge things instead of just Gym Leaders. |

My personal opinion on this forum when I saw it for the first time that it is indeed very hard to navigate for new members like myself. For example some of the signatures are so big that it takes a while to scroll down, I don't know what it is but it gives the forum a bit 'messy' feel. But then I again I also dislike the restrictions of some forums about this (can't use this image because it's one row of pixels to big -_-) I also think the standard theme makes it a little hard too read some posts, but yeah that can be fixed by changing the theme (I use the Go Aron! theme since it gives a 'clean' feel to the forum.) Just my opinion though!

The forum is very easy to navigate through, if you have the knowledge to work a computer, you can also travel through the forum with ease. I am not just saying that either. You may have never been to a forum before, maybe this is your first, but your a new member; take some time to learn about it, your not guaranteed to master it in one night. The Signatures are like that, for a reason I guess. It allows the member to have much more control of their profile. It's very handy, and your problem can be fixed very simple. All you need to do is click the further right side or the further left side of the page and it will scroll down. If you scroll down the middle (that's what you are doing) Makes it take a little longer. I learned this myself.

Actually I'm active on a lot of forums! (Personal forum, several Lord of the rings SBG fora etc.) While this forum might look more flashy than others, I personally prefer functionality over that. Not saying that the setup here is bad, it indeed just takes some getting used too. But in comparison to other forums it is harder to navigate here. Here's an example of a forum I think the setup is perfect: http://www.one-ring.co.uk/index.php Easy to navigate, but also doesn't look boring. But yeah in the end it's all about personal preferance and skill on the forums

Appreciate the comments, I agree with some, but disagree at the same time! However, I think the forum you linked doesn't look as nice visually, nor is there layout any better (it's huge and the theme makes me a bit sleepy, so when navigating, I find it hard to see what is what!) I try to link to the main sections (at the bottom of the board there are shortcuts) and the descriptions are as clear as possible. We also have a lot of forum guides etc for new members on everything from customizing profile to navigating. Every person has their own opinion on designs etc however, I think that's one of the reasons I have so many different designs to choose from, I try to meet the needs of every user on the forum - and that is a very challenging task. As for the signatures, I agree they are HUGE, but I prefer giving the community more rather than less. The script added to the signatures (giving them their own scroll wheel so-to-speak) is the best solution I could come up with to prevent signatures being waaay too big. Thanks again for your comments, I'll keep them in mind when I go through the layout again and definitely consider how I would feel if I was new. I know a lot of our systems etc can be very overwhelming, especially with the RPG coming, we have tons to do on the forums, almost too much! Cheers Max! |

Thanks for taking my criticism in mind I have been a moderator on another forum, not that you can compare it to this one, my forum had like 18-20 users and even then it was very hard to give everyone what they want. And it certainly wasn't at much work as a forum like this. So KUTGW ![]() I just hope I didn't come across to negative by only outlining some personal flaws. I'm just trying to help! |

Is it possible to search a topic or look through a user's latest posts and threads? I can't seem to find any way to do this. Maybe we should add this feature in the future! |

To look for a persons posts and topic you should grt to their profile page. Somewhere on the top left next to their name you will see 'Profile Options'. Hover your mouse over it and a small list should appear with 'List Member's Posts' as the first option and 'List Member's Topics' as the second option. Click on them and you will see. There is a search option on this Forum, it should be at the top of main page and it should say 'Search' somewhere next to 'Members' and Calenders. It depends on what Theme you use though, so you might need to take a closer look around ;) If you use the 2013 Theme you can't miss it at the top right of the main page. Here is a link to the Search option if you can't find it: http://pandoragaming.co.uk/search/ Edited by Ninjaoety, Jan 18 2013, 08:42 PM.

I love the layout choice, Sam (or admin appointed). The color scheme is very crisp and detailed, the font seems appropriate, and the user groups color is visible. (seriously, yellow user groups don't work with white! If you've ever been to those forums, you'll know what I mean.) However there are a few minor complaints and some things I would personally change myself. For one, I would change the folder icons a bit, perhaps more pokemon like. Now don't get crazy with it, but something simple and neat like http://forums.glitchcity.info/ or the pokeball every other fan forum uses. Also I do love the usergroups (really I do) but I feel the animated icon next to the names is a bit much at times, to me they are too empowering from the actual username. (I don't want to confuse a user with another because I was too busy looking at pikachu dance, ya know?) I think the pokemon tcg icons would work better to be honest, but that's just my opinion. I would also have the emote icons to be off by default as well, (meaning the user has to choose to display, rather than not display) they're cute for a while, but to an unsuspecting user who wanted to type the emote ^_^ and got a wynaut might be annoyed pretty quickly. The upper tags in the reply/post topics i.e. Bold, Spoiler, etc. are a bit too bubbly and doesn't feel neat in my opinion. This is more of a personal taste, but I enjoy having them closer and have a more structured look. I know that's a lot, and I hope you don't take it offensively. My goal is not to run your site, but to add suggestions from my experience. ^_^ I am aware of the age group/range as well and I understand if you feel these wouldn't fit. |
