This is where you can be your character. Please use roleplay styled posts in this topic using the following: Italic Text or quoted text titled OOC should be "out of character" chat, where you can talk like this. Speechmarks should be used for conversations; "Hello, I got a sweet new card today!" Stay within realistic boundaries. Don't pretend your blue-eyes white dragon just broke out of your card and starting reigning blue inferno's upon the school! You can challenge each other to a duel, talk about your latest cards or just talk about how hot all the obelisk girls look in their skirts... Have fun! |

After wandering vast lands, reaching the top of yet another hill, he feels his strengths being drained. Finally he can rest again... After falling on his knees, to lie down for a while, he stands up to check the landscape of new, unknown lands. Then, as if interfered by a divine deity, he finally sees the magnificent towers, which he only heard of in legends of his clan. Milleno, tired beyond measure, regains strength and walks towards the giant rainbow gate of the Duel Academy; his quest would finally come to an end. Days ago he already accepted that fate was not on his side, he expected that fate had decided that the task entrusted to him, would result in a failure: His clan's last possibility of survival. But there it was, the gate that his clan-elder told him about, miles away, yet as clear as a brilliant diamond under the yellow-gold rays of the sun above him... Or was it merely a mirage...? Then... The blinding light morphed into darkness. ------ "...twitched finally. At last he's awake. Thank you ma'am." The confused boy woke up, finding himself inside the comfort of a bed, unlike the piles of dry grass he rested for the past few days or weeks. It felt like an eternity since he felt the softness of a bed. He can barely hear faint thumping, of shoes moving away. After opening his eyes, he notices a stranger in a corner of the room. "Who... who are y-" "Boy! What are you doing here? So far off the road! You were only lucky our guards saw the reflection of your duel disk! Why ar-" "Have I reached my destination? Where am I?" ""If Duel Academy was the location you wished to enter, then you have reached your destination." "Yes... yes... Finally! I feared I succumbed to my hunger and fatigue; I feared my mind was playing tricks on me when I saw the towers, high in the sky." Milleno told his whole story to the cloaked stranger, apparently, the head of one of the 3 dorms he had heard many stories of; Red Slifer, named after one of the Egyptian Gods, from within the myths his grandpa told him so many of. His grandpa... The memory of his grandpa will continue to haunt Milleno's dreams like it had during his journey to the Academy. But at least, for the time being, he knew he had reached his destination: The legendary Duel Academy. |

A Genius at Heart

Xehanort was arriving via boat like the other students, however he was on his own yacht as his father owned one of the biggest motorcycle manufacturing companies on the planet. He was in his cabin preparing his deck for the shores of Duel Academy. He had ranked in the top five of his class and was placed in Obelisk Blue. It was no shock to him, but still the competition did look promising. Xehanort headed up to the main deck and saw the island coming into view, fastening his Duel Disk onto his right arm. His butler then came up behind him, handing him a set of cards. "Young master, your father has sent you these cards along with some funds to help you get started in your schooling." "Alfred, send my father my thanks. Also tell him I want all communication between us to be ceased for the first two months while I am here." Alfred was shocked at this, but kept his blank expression. "Of course master, but why the interest of no communication?" "My father and I have a very tense relationship and us keeping in touch may distract me from my schooling." As Xehanort and Alfred talked for a few minutes the ship came into port and two workers lowered the blank for him to exit off. Xehanort headed off the boat without a world and went over to the main port where the other students would be arriving. |

Stepping off the boat that shipped him and the majority of the other students to the Duel Academy, Matt wasn't exactly paying attention to where he was going. Dual disk attached to his arm, deck already inside, he did however have one card out that he was lost in thought starring at. The card was non other than Harpie's Brother.. This was the one card that would always be in his deck no matter what for it's meaning to him was much stronger than it's statistics. The card was given to him by a dear friend who passed away, and in order to honor that friend, he vowed to work his way up the ranks to become the best, using this card at all times. However due to not paying attention to where he was going, he happened to pump into another duelist that didn't arrive on the boat. "Oh sorry... I must've been lost in thought again.." |

After the long talk, Milleno understood he had to wait for the Headmaster of the Academy to return. The Red Slifer head wasn't authorized to handle matters that didn't strictly mattered to his dorm (nor did he have a clue how to help the boy). Milleno trusted the dorm-head, seemingly kind, but of course, he didn't entrust him with his secret; not yet. This secret was meant to be shared with only one individual: The Headmaster of the Academy. When they were finished talking. the head; who hadn't mentioned his name to Milleno, who in his turn hadn't told the head how he was called; told Milleno he had to go: The new students were arriving at the port on the other side of the citadel of the academy. The eager boy, who had regained his energy by now, was immediately awake. "The Great Ocean? Have I truly traveled this far?" "Yes, my boy, you have heard of the Ocean, but you talk of it as if you've only heard of it in stories. Do you wish to accompany me to the harbor?" The boy was filled with joy. After his long and weary journey, he finally felt as if a weight, holding him back, had vanished. "Follow me then, there's a stable outside of the nursery, have you ever rode a horse?" "Ow yes, I sure have!" While running outside, towards the horses, he felt the chilly wind flow through his long, brown, matted hair. Although he had rested, he realised the last time he actually showered (and not in a river or in the rain) was as long ago as he had slept inside a warm bed. Still, it didn't matter as much, as he could finally ride a horse again. "Come on, hop on your hor-... Ow wait, you're already up there! Watch out!", the Red Slifer head yelled in awe: Milleno already sat on a pitch-black horse, which pranced seemingly dangerously on its 2 hind legs. However, the boy was completely in control. "Don't worry! I've rode horses almost as much as I've dueled. So, where is The Great Ocean?" "Indeed, let's make haste! Our long talk has delayed me. The students should probably be arriving any minute!" The two rode through the streets, until they finally reached the beautiful light blue sea. A huge ship had arrived just when they reached the port's golden gate, made of tridents. When they arrived at the horse stand of the harbor, the head told Milleno to look around. He had business to attend to, and ran off; his blood-red and black cloak flowed in the air as if a bonfire burned through the sky. Milleno decided to walk towards the ship, which had just arrived. Apparently all it's travelers were unboarding the silver-colored ship. However, Milleno was completely focused on the marvelous structure; never had he seen such a sample of technology. The letters "KC" were painted in giant letters on the ship, he knew from the stories of his clan they meant Kaiba Corp, the company that produced his loved duel disk and his cards. He absorbed all the details of the ship, but didn't notice all the students that had just entered the port from the ship. He bumped into someone else who was daydreaming. He immediately backed down. Living inside the wilderness had left a mark on the boy. Feral instincts caused him to protect himself, in battle-ready position. The other boy hadn't noticed Milleno's reaction. But Milleno knew that, if he wanted to move on, he had to calm down again (and a shower would be nice too...) The student muttered, still holding the card he was looking at before the collission, in his hand . "Oh sorry... I must've been lost in thought again.." |

"My name is Matt and I've been accepted to the academy as a member of the Slifer house, do you by chance know where I could find the head of Slifer house so i could thank him for accepting me under his house and bringing me to this amazing place?" 'Also, before I forget to ask, what's your name?" Knowing in the back of his mind that many trainers take on habits that the monsters in their deck posses, he chose to ignore the fact that the person he bumped into had just retracted into a fighting and defensive stance. |
