I wonder what the latest invention is or what the scientists are pondering to discover atm. ^-^ |

I saw an interesting article on how dust mites are actually un-evolving... I'll try to find it for you guys. |

Unevolving? Hmmmm that is interesting. Maybe they are still trying to find Big Foot and Nessy? |

Who knows. Whatever is not dis-proven may still be proven... There may be yetis, sasquatchs, bigfoots (Bigfeet?), Nessies and Champs. Who knows? |

I've always been interested in such creatures. I think that until proven to be fake, they exist. |

Rather like innocent until proven guilty. The probability that, say, there are unicorns a) needs to take into account the basic-almost infinite reaches of the universe, and b) We have barely scratched the surface of our own world, let alone alien ones. |

Seriously. We haven't explored so much of the world. Especially the oceans. Who knows what's out there. |

Exactly. An aquatic bigfoot. Who knows? Flying bigfoot. Possible. Sub-terrestial bigfoot. More likely than not. I am not even joking here. |

I'm sure Aliens exist! They're true, I know it! ![]() I found an awesome news article in my news paper once about mars and the unusual tracks they found there. Though I can't find the link to it right now, I found something else: http://rt.com/news/meteorite-life-report-mars-310/ |

I think I saw that, Snowy, but I'll check it out when I can. Thank you! From this point forth we shall maiintain stricter rules. There shall be no topics discussed save for science ones. |

@Socrates: Have you done projects like making a robot or something innovative in order to prove the laws of physics at school? Or have done experiments where in chemistry you see the different reactions of the chemicals? ^.^

I do a lot of biology for school. I've done *takes deep breath* Herbology, Anatomy & Physiology, a Watershed course, 14 disections, including three squid, three frogs, three fish, a mudpuppy, a rat, an oyster and a cat, Nuerobiology, and a Science Writing and communications class. *Whew* |

And what did you say your age was!? Well, I've only dissected a few flowers and I did not have the opportunity of doing so to a frog because at my time, a strict law had come into order where dissecting a frog in biology class had become illegal for they were getting scarce (I wouldn't exactly say extinct, but maybe). :/ So, I haven't done that, but I HAVE done many chemistry experiments where by mixing a few chemicals we saw a gorgeous glittery solution being produced! I did a few other pretty experiments like that. ^.^I also tried making many projects for physics trying to prove Newton's laws, and then, Einstein's I think, and another one with a mirror, I can't quite recall. Oh, and there were a few experiments based on light and how it is produced. Oh, now that I can recall, I did many experiments in physics. Most of them based on light, prisms, balancing, reflections, logic gates, etc. ^.^ (I wasn't that horrible I guess XD)

I've dissected a baby pig too. Earthworms, frogs, crickets, flowers, etc...Chemistry- playing with dangerous chemicals, etc. Technically, I made a grenade(Fully enclosed glass jar with 100% H2) Forensics, Robotics, and bridge engineering in middle school. Edited by Somebody, Mar 12 2013, 07:04 PM.

On a side note, there is an animal nicknamed the Asian unicorn, also called the Saola.

I'm 19. At that age, I have no clue what I was doing. But I've done quite a bit of A&P. I've disected rats, cats, crayfish, sea stars, worms, frogs, owl stools, pigs, sheep eyes, and probably a few more I can't remember. I'm fascinated by A&P and want to do something with that. My favorite was the cat dissection. Not because I hate cats or anything, but because we dissected the cats in such a detailed fashion. We spent almost two weeks on them starting from the sking to the insides of the organs. Really interesting stuff. |
